Help those affected by the Olympia fires

We at Pi Kappa Alpha are deeply saddened by the recent fire at the Olympia Place off-campus apartments near University of Massachusetts Amherst. The blaze started on the evening of November 7, 2025, as a building under construction caught fire and subsequently spread to the occupied student housing next door. More than 230 residents, many of them UMass students and some our own brothers, have been displaced and have lost personal belongings, housing stability, and peace of mind.

This incident has deeply impacted our chapter and our community. Some of our brothers are now without a safe place to live and are working to rebuild from scratch; everything from textbooks and electronics to clothing and keepsakes was lost in the fire. The town of Amherst declared a state of emergency and the university established an emergency resource center to support eviction, housing, and immediate needs. As brothers, alumni, friends, and anyone reading this: we humbly ask for your help. Whether it’s a small donation, temporary housing offers, or simply sharing this message—please support those in immediate need.

If you are in a position to contribute, please consider donating via our chapter’s GoFundMe page https://www.gofundme.com/f/9ybq45- to help raise funds for housing, essentials, and rebuilding costs. Every dollar makes a difference. Your support will directly benefit displaced brothers, fellow students, and our broader UMass-Amherst community as we pull together to recover and stand strong. Let’s show the true meaning of brotherhood and community; Thank you from all of us at Pi Kappa Alpha.
